Dagestan Adopts New Flag

Current Flag in Use Since 1994

The Republic of Dagestan, a federal subject of Russia, has been using its current flag since 26 February 1994. The flag consists of a white field with three horizontal stripes of blue, green, and red. The blue stripe represents the Caspian Sea, the green stripe represents the Caucasus Mountains, and the red stripe represents the bloodshed of the Dagestani people.
